Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Do bolt ons first...like full exhaust...then if you have any other bolt ons in mind get them done...after that get your turbo, intercooler, fuel pump, fuel rails, injectors and whatever else and get the proper tuning at the same time

Hey sent you a PM on the exhaust parts....which I would do first.

If you are on a budget and want to do the upgrades in stages then I would go exhaust, UTEC (you can download different maps as you upgrade too)......do the turbo, fuel pump, injectors, and fuel rails(don't forget these cuz the #3 cylinder runs lean) together...depending on the size of the turbo you might have to do the Front mount intercooler also. If not then next would be the FMIC.

Now when you are upgrading all this power most forget that the stock brakes will no longer handle such power so you would need to upgrade your brakes with maybe a BBK....Stoptech makes one of the best out there!

That should get you started but if you have any other questions please feel free to ask!

Thanks,
Brian

Spend some time reading and you'll figure it out in no time.

Exhaust -> some sort of engine managment -> turbo/injectors/fuelpump -> intercooler -> new tranny -> then the sky's the limit with new fuel rails and other fun stuff...custom turbos, etc.

chip is one of the best bang for the buck then up and downpipes. Do what ever other bolt-ons then upgrade turobs and IC and get them tuned.

Best to start with the exhaust and brakes because they're the easiest to install and cheapest. Wait to get the engine management or ecu reflash until you have all the components together. I found out the hard way and my ECU is not programmed to give more power with the exhaust i just put on. But ECUtek still makes great power on an almost stock car.

If you want insane power from the car you may want to trade in the WRX for an Sti because it comes with everything you need and more, it's a better all around package for going fast and it saves you $ in the end.
wish Sti was out when I got the WRX......
