i never really thought about it until i saw a pic of someone else's wastegate arm but i think mine might be a bit bent... how bad is this?

it just adjusts boost

my stock one was bent a bit to go to teh WG arm

hahah its cool yeah it didnt get that hot

jsut go to the dealer or a meet and look and make sure you didnt get some crazy bend

and the legnth of the rod also adjusts boost

but its not the way to go faster hehe

I know that the actuator arm has a spring to retract it, but should the wastegate arm move freely. I thought it should be spring loaded as well how else does it hold 7-11 psi of mechanical boost? Is it just held back by back pressure.
I ask this because for the last week or so I felt like I had no boost from 3500 to 5000 rpm. Got out the AP to watch the boost and I was getting a wicked boost spike at 3500 rpm of 18psi then the car would slow and boost would be around 7 until it picked up strongly at 5000 to around 12 psi. I read a little and decided to lengthen the actuator arm until the boost spike went away. Now I only get 4-5 psi of boost until 4000 rpm, but it holds strong until redline. Have I lengthened the actuator rod too much, to the point that the wastegate is staying open?
