Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Is it a bad idea to spray Throttle body cleaner in WRX motor?

How would it do that?

I think you would be safe to do it, as said before just don't use it on plastic pieces.

Could it mess with the MAF sensor at all? I'm not suggesting it, just asking.

Your not supposed to really be spraying it into the TB while the car is running anyways. If I recall right, it even says so on the spray can. The best way to use it is to actually pull the throttle body and clean it with it out of the car, then put it back in. If your trying to clean areas such as the intake valves, it'd be better to use some fuel system cleaner. I've had the best luck with Techron and so have a lot of other customers that come into where I work.
