Apex N1
I did a search, but I couldn't find much other than a few for-sale ads. Everyone's always recommending the HKS Hi-Power or the Greddy Evo, but how about the N1? I don't notice many people having them. Do they sound particularly obnoxious or something?

The N-1 is actually very quiet on the WRX (but very loud on the 2.5RS). It's not so popular since it's 2.5 inch piping; it is, however, very inexpensive compared to other exhausts. Due to the narrow piping, it just doesn't make very good power at all, particularly on our forced-induction cars.
Most people recommend the HKS Hi-Power because it makes good power and is not obnoxiously loud. Same goes for the Greddy Evo. The Apex GT-Spec isn't bad either, but its power numbers aren't as high as the HKS and Greddy. Also, the Blitz NUR-Spec is great for power but is grossly loud.
BTW hashiriya, since you're such a JDM ***** like me and since you're interested in Apex, try to find the Apex Hayabusa -- you won't regret it at all
