Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Anyone have 300WHP?....

Ive been told that with the 1820 and a properly tuned ecu it wont lag as much as people say it does. Of course with other mods as well.

it wont increase hp any (of course) but it will definetely hold higher levels of power than the 5 speed (jun's gda is a testament to that). i cant wait until i can get my hands on one

plus the boost comes alive at 3500-4000 RPMs on the PE1818....just like my vf34....the PE1818 just spools quicker and if you take it out and spin it by finger....it spins longer than the vf34....
know what I mean??

BADWRX has a STi 6 speed too, It is SWEET!!! if we had the EXACT SAME MODS, except he has STi 6, and I have 5....he would still win, due to gearing. Thats how good it is
Plus it is bigger and stronger too!

Actuall this is true, I drove in BADWRX's wrx and it didn't seem like there was any lag.....it's a PE1820. Thats the one I want.
He just told me today it was the 1820!

That is correct. There is not much lag at all. Even running pig rich and with a FMIC, on the stock ECU. God dang, tuned, I will be killing ****!

The gearing on the 6 is just pimp shiz! Except on the highway, but if you are serious about your car, and power, you can deal with the low highway gears and the reduced fuel economy. At least she is strong.

I will never regret shelling out the dough on the 6. I love that damn thing! I have never been happier!

PE1820 is the hardest hitting WRX turbo there is. It is easily classified as a street turbo. I have ridden in cars with just about every variant of ihi turbo available. Everybody says that mine feels VERY FAST, like kicks you in the **** like no other IHI bolt on. I believe it.

Get the PE1820 Fred san!

I can't wait to get tuned.

PE1820 is the hardest hitting BOLT ON turbo. I think the GReddy TD18Z turbo might be harder hitting or the HKS 2835 than you can get and is a bolt on.

At this point, I would say that my T67 at 28PSI hits "pretty hard" as well.

The exhaust side is huge so the turbo wouldn't get to work in its sweet spot and still make 330WHP. Of course there is lag, but I didnt mind it that much.

Now, with the 2.4L motor and higher compression with better gearng should spool up much better.

Just in case I have a smaller 8cm^2 exhaust housing if the current 10cm^2 is still too big.
