Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Any reviews on TDO4 upgrades or TDO5 16G?

Any reviews on TDO4 upgrades or TDO5 16G?

I am on the market for a new turbo. I was looking for options and found a couple of threads on iONS' stock turbo upgrade, FP stock turbo upgrade and turbo specialties TDO5 16G. I still haven't decided which way to go. Unfotunately price is an issue. I would like to hear from the people that have tried this turbos and what are their recomendations. Thanks in advance.

Depends on what you want to do. Street/Autocross, Track, Drag?
The Ion Spec "0" is about the best of the "Stock Turbo" upgrades. It will hold 17 PSI till redline. Boost lag is almost nonexistent and it spools up very quickly, this makes for a good street/autocross car. Depending on your other mods, this turbo can help make 235 to 250 WHP. It is NOT a turbo for Drag Racing, not enough top end flow capacity. For that, start at a VF-30 and go up. Good Luck!
