Alternator help!!!

Hey guys i need your help. I swapped a silgle cam ej25 into my 55 bug and it's runnin on megasquirt. I have an alternator off i believe an ej22 single cam but im not sure how to wire it. It had a large lug that obviously goes direct to the battery and then a two pin plug with a large white wire and a small black one. I can get it to charge by applying power to the black on but it overcharges when i rev it up.Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

First of all , holly shiat that is a nice clean set up. As for the alternator, you should check your ground and quite possibly the voltage regulator is bad. Should however start with the wiring first.
