Car Info: dangerous with a wrench
If I were starting from a stock WRX with $4000 to spend on improving a street car, I'd go with:
- MRT adjustable rear links (250ish)
- Noltec front and rear camber/caster plates (400i think)
- Whiteline adjustable rear swaybar (145)
- some TEIN springs (200)
- a set of Bridgestone S03's (probably ~700)
- Stoptech big brake kit (1800)
- and you'll need bigger wheels to go over the stoptechs (600)
then, if I had another 1000, I'd get a catless uppipe and TXS stealthback exhaust.

Best part of STi is drivetrain, and I guess the brakes too. Increased power is nice too, but 300 hp@flywheel isn't anything that's even remotely out of reach for tuned normal WRX. You don't buy an STi to leave it stock though.....that'd just be a shame.
