I want to make sure the fans are working on my car. The A/C compressor makes them both come on but no amount of idling would make the cooling fan come on. (it's only in the high 30s here) Guess I will have to actually drive it to make the fan come on. Does this fan behavior sound correct?

 

They didnt come on probabaly because the air is in the high 30s. Go run the car hard for a bit and then park and idle, chances are the fans will come on. The ambient temps in the engine bay make all the difference.
