3 port solenoid drive slow w/o tune?
I've searched all over and I can't find a good combination of key words to get any results.

I've got a 02' WRX and am wondering if it's OK to drive to my tuner after installing a Grimspeed 3 port EBC. Am I safe as long as I stay out of boost?

Better have him send you a limp mode map. Don't do it without that and stay off boost as much as you can.

I just connected the compressor output to the wastegate and drove to the tuner. Limits boost for the drive to the tuner. Once at the tuner I hooked up the 3port EBCS and all was good.

What if he loads up the existing economy map from the Cobb AP? Will that work as well?

EXACTLY. Everything will be off. Injector Duty Cycle, AF, etc.
