3" exhaust question

has anyone installed a full 3" exhaust system on their car?? how much back-pressure was lost?? I recently installed a HKS 3"DP on my car. Now i want to fabricate a 3" pipe between the HKS DP and the axle back. Basically i'm removing the resonator pipe and replacing it w/ a 3" pipe. Eventually i'll be installing an axle-back. Probably a Stromung. is this a good set-up or will i lose a lot of back pressure?
my other mods currently are:
Blitz LM
MBC
Iridium plugs

If you're gonna fabricate a 3" resonator pipe, why not just go the whole way and do the entire catback. Stromung are nice mufflers, but IIRC, they're only 2.5".

with a turbo charged vehicle you do not need that much back pressure, back pressure acts against the turbine and cause it to spool slower. Here is a rule i picked up off of a knowlegable tuner, for every pound of backpressure it acts like 2 pounds in a turbo'd vehicle. I have 3 inch catless system from the turbo back and a catless uppipe, it is great. some people say you will loose a little low end by going to 3inch instead of 2.5.
