3/16 mod from boostkits.com

I just want to give the guys at boostkits a plug. I bought their 3/16 mod and must admit I am really impressed. I know I could of saved $8 and just bought it from my local hardware store but the printed instructions were worth it to me. I have read threads on other forums talking about this site so I thought I would pass it on to I-club.
I dont' want to sound like an a-hole but just looking at the pics of the 3/16mod on Scoobymods.com speak a thousand words and wouldn't require directions. YOu pull out the stocker and replace with new inline coupling.

I went with a smaller opening and haven't had a problem.

it appears u work for or own boostkits. On this forum alone you have made 2 posts, just talking about your 3/16 mod crap. Its a bad mod in the first place and talk about overpricing!

I had this mod in. Heard some negetave things about it. After that I put the stock one back in..... never really felt any difference. So might as well be safe than sorry. I'll just wait till I get tuned!.

that mod isnt worth the potential problems it causes. i did it but got boost spikes and never had stable boost anywhere changed it back and couldnt tell the different. and it only cost me like 1.27 at napa. I dont see how anyone can charge 9.99 for a 10 cent peice of plastic. anyone supporting it has to be promoting the company and now i will never buy any thing from them that is just poor businesss pratices IMO.

From what Mike Shields says going 2X the size is way too much.
I went 0.2 mm larger with my Foresters restrictor and I haven't seen any spikes, it just seems to reach full boost quicker. Full text of mikes comments in the second link I posted above.
The trick is to not be so greedy. A change of 1.5 mm that you say is suggested is excessive. I would think a .2 or .3mm change would bring up the power without causing what is called hysterisis or a hunting of the boost values.

I haven't had any problems with it yet. If you didn't notice an improvement right away in performance then you probably did it wrong. I also haven't noticed spikes either. Booost never goes above 1 bar just seems to start up a little earlier and last a little longer.
BTY - Don't get all crazy on me I just like their site. I don't work there. I don't even know where they are from?
