my friends neighbor smashed it with an land rover... sigh. damn those soccer moms. it was only 4 days old when this happened. the motor is almost brand spankin new. insurance said because there was too much damage to the car that they would go either way for fixing it or claiming it totaled. becuase there are very few supplies for parts, my friend just had it totaled. and because the motor was going to be complete waste he made a deal with the junkyard and bought a lot of the parts back, plaining on putting it into a gd8 chassis. this is where we are now... and he decided to buy an sti again so he did and he will get one in midnight black in october... that lucky bastard, but then again not so lucky. so thats the sad story about a very unlucky man.
now that you konw the story its useless because he already sold the motor and trans... so sorry if i wasted your time and hopes for a sti motor swap.

actually i consider him lucky bastard.
He got brand new STi AND $5000(guessing) or so selling the swap. The insurance rate stays the same too.
