1-800-scooby-newbie-hotline... stageII...

alright... i am going stage II with my 03 wrx... i have my up-pipe, and i have my COBB V2 accessport... i am saving money to buy a perrin single tip 3in exhaust... My ? for all of you is my downpipe... i live in california so therefore we have catalytic converter laws that can be pretty strict... should i get a catted downpipe... i am looking at a invidia 3in divoced wastegate downpipe... is this a good idea? i know i wont get the power numbers that i could with catless, but what are your thoughts?

thank you,
Trevor

who cares if its catless.. just dont do anything stupid to call attention to yourself and it should be fine. Keep your stock exhaust and when it comes time to smog swap out the turboback for the stock.

Heres an idea, keep your stock pipes and when smog time comes around, slap those stockers back in and set your map back to stock.

Invidia v3 divorced waste gate here.

Get a cat back that looks somewhat similar to stock (dual tip), and something that isn't too loud. You shouldn't have a problem with chp as long as you don't drive like a jackass all the time.
