Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

$300 to spend....what to do?

I would go with either a cobb access port or vishnu xede. Another mod I would recommend is the up-pipe. After modding my WRX .... I would have to say I prefer the up-pipe to the piggy back solutions .....

If you want something now i would toss in a K&N panel filter,Iridium plugs, intercooler hoses and a catchcan. If anything the filter and the catchcan.

Forget the filter. The oil over a period of time will screw up your Mass Airflow Sensor and cause your car to run poorer then the regular OEM filters. Save the money and get better tires/wheels. Then learn to drive to the best of your ability.

uppipe/ donwpipe or wheels and tires or springs, you will notice a big difference in power and handling. Depends on what you want to upgrade first, power or handling and bling.

intakes are pretty safe... i don't think hoses are a big deal right now. If you have the up-pipe installed, expect to pay more than 100 bucks for the installation.

i'd jsut get some used stuff. lol. see what you can find.

I don't know from first hand, but I'm definately looking into it. You could get a port and polish on your turbo from Deadbolt for around 200 bones. From what I've read it's a pretty good bang for the buck. I have the Helix up and down pipes and the gains are nice, and only 150 more than your budget.

good luck.
