$300 to spend....what to do?
Hey, I just bought a brand new 2005 WRX Sedan and have some cash for mods....what should I do first. I have $300 at the moment, so what it something that will give me good power for that money?
I appreciate your input.
I appreciate your input.
I would go with either a cobb access port or vishnu xede. Another mod I would recommend is the up-pipe. After modding my WRX .... I would have to say I prefer the up-pipe to the piggy back solutions .....

Forget the filter. The oil over a period of time will screw up your Mass Airflow Sensor and cause your car to run poorer then the regular OEM filters. Save the money and get better tires/wheels. Then learn to drive to the best of your ability.

Exhaust Upgrade
I would highly recommend getting a Helix Flex Up-pipe & Helix Bellmouth Downpipe.
Make sure that the new up-pipe & downpipe comes with a exhaust gaskets & for the downpipe make sure that you have a CEL Fix(Check Engine Light Fix).
After you modified these two parts you can then get the Helix Catback Exhaust System.
Don't expect too much of a power increase but just look at it that you just unlock some "hidden" potential horsepower & tourque from your engine.
Have Fun...

hmmm well with 300 u can get a helix up-pipe (135 after taxes) and a perrin or unorthadox lightened crank pulley (130 after taxes) and you'll have enough money left over for a date
.. haha this should be good for around 20whp

intakes are pretty safe... i don't think hoses are a big deal right now. If you have the up-pipe installed, expect to pay more than 100 bucks for the installation.
i'd jsut get some used stuff. lol. see what you can find.

I don't know from first hand, but I'm definately looking into it. You could get a port and polish on your turbo from Deadbolt for around 200 bones. From what I've read it's a pretty good bang for the buck. I have the Helix up and down pipes and the gains are nice, and only 150 more than your budget.
good luck.
good luck.
