Anyone know which MBC has the least boost spike?
I was thinking of getting an EBC but can't afford it right now.

ok so here's the thing, I had a MBC on my car for about 2 years, and recently even at the lowest level it would spike up to 1.5 bars. So i figured the spring inside is screwed. I changed it back to stock yesterday, and when i floor the boost only goes to .5 bars (about 7-8 pounds) Does this sound right with stock boost? I thought stock WRX's ran at 14 bounds. Anyone know what might be the problem?

Were you in the lower gears? I don't think you can hit 14psi unless you're in 3rd or 4th. Also, maybe you should check your hoses and connections. Does it feel like it's boosting 8psi?

try reset the ecu and have it learn all over again with stock boost solenoid.

without proper fuel/timing correction don't add boost

Engine = boom!!

1st and 2nd = .05 or 7.5psi

3rd,4th,5th = .1 or 14.7psi
