UTEC stage 3

i am considering a top mount intercooler so that i can run stage three, right now i am at stage 2 with a full intake, (i switch from cold air to short ram perrin whenever i want, i have the turbo inlet hose too) and full exhaust (borla headers, helix up and down pipes, greddy evo cat-back) i also have some other little things like a pully kit and sparkplugs. i have a lightweight flywheel and blitz electronic boost controller and hks ssqv bov... and i obviously allready have the utec

ok, now that you are all up to date lol here is my main question...

i really want to get the sti intercooler kit, this is the jdm sti intercooler with the jdm intercooler hoses and and air splitter (i allready have the sti hoodscoop)

is it worth the 800 buck to go and get the sti ic kit and then run a stage three utec map and eventually dyno tune my car... ?

does anyone have any guesses at what my hp is at now and what it would be at with a stage 3 tune?

similarly does anyone have any guesses at what my 1/4 mile time would be now, vs a stage 3 with sti ic kit?

has any one ran this type of set up and if so how did you like it?

thanks a lot, im sorry this is so long, but i need your input!

IMHO a larger intercooler isn't worth it without a larger turbo. The stock one has a higher airflow capacity than the TD04 does. Not that you can't get a little tiny bit more power by changing the intercooler, but not $800+ worth. When you go to a VF30 or bigger turbo then it's more justified.

The STi turbo is a VF39. It's very similar in size to a VF30 or 34. You could put one on a WRX, but unless you got a screamin deal on a used one, it would make more sense to just get a VF34. I'm not sure what you mean by "good hp gain" though.
