The turbo is watercooled. It uses coolant to keep it running cool.

depends on the 16g. there are two different mitsu exhaust housing out there, one will work while the other one wont. a td05-16g from a 95/96 wrx will bolt on, but you'll need to get some piping made for the intake. the compresser outlet is a bit bigger on the 16g so new intercooler hoses may be needed. i'm not sure if the oil and coolant lines will fit either. if the 16g is for a dsm, then it wont fit on a subaru without an adapter/custom uppipe & downpipe.
