Oh, sorry Impreza7, I was just kidding about that, I actually took on extra work (on top of my full time job) to make some extra dough... I worked my *** off for it and now I get to buy some toys with it. Just got my P1's and springs this weekend. And to answer your questions batman, manual boost controller, or mbc, is just a valve that goes between the vacuum hoses from the wastegate and turbo and bypasses the stock one and you adjust it with an allen wrench (manually.) The ebc is one that can be adjusted from inside the cockpit with an elec. device like the Greddy Profec B or Apexi AVC-R which can run around $600 or so. Right now I'm running around stock boost because I'm getting a fuel cut-off or something if I set it higher than about .9-.95 bar which is around 14 psi, I'm just running typical mods, full exhaust, cai, mbc, bov, pulley kit, nothing real major yet like turbo kit, injectors and pump and fmi like I'd want. As soon as I install the ebc and SAFC, I'm having it tuned by XS Engineering, hopefully they can get rid of that fuel cut. As far as your last question... what isn't available for the WRX? The turbo timer, or an mbc? For the turbo timer it's all the same, you can order it for an Eclipse and it'll still work, same with an mbc, the harness however has to be car specific, and you should order it, makes it so much easier. Let me know if you need anything else, I can tend to babble incoherently
and confuse.

Alright, i just went to about 4 shops in my area (took a half day) and got some opinions and price quotes. I am ordering the turbo timer tonight after I compare prices of different places(im doing that now) What harness should I get, the Greddy or the Apexi? Also, if they are all the same why is the rx7 harness more expensive than the 300zx harness? Thanks for your time and patience, big help.

Sorry, meant to say that all the turbo timers are all the same, but the harness' WILL all be different. That you'll have to call and verify with someone that sells em, ask him which one will work, because I think the one I bought said it was compatible with either a Supra or RX-7, can't remember though. And as far as what brand, that also doens't matter as long as it's compatible with the plug on the Apexi timer. Mine I bought at SPI, went in there, asked for the timer and harness, and all the carried as far as harness was the HKS timer harness, so I know that one for sure will match, and obviously the Apex one will match, not sure about the Greddy, you can ask when you order it though.

You got me good on that lottery comment. Just so you know, you don't NEED a harness for your turbo timer, it just makes install a little easier. You can sauter (Spelling?) the wires directly to the ignition on the left side of the steering wheel and get the same results. Different cars have different harnesses to connect to the ignition, so different prices ensue.

Yeah, you're right, you COULD solder it in but I'm always too skeered of screwing something up, guess I'm not talented enough. Plus I like to be able to take things off and put everything back to normal. Guess it depends on what you wanna do.
