You can begin by telling us what type of car/engine your friend has. Is it a Suby? What type of mods? What do you mean when you say "eating plugs"?

Even with the above listed mods (if it's a Subaru engine or not), many engine builders would go with one step colder plug. However, if the plugs are fouling due to street driving a colder plug might not be the answer. Is it a track car, meaning road race or drag use, only?

Be carefull

I purchased some bosch platinums that were recomended as an upgrade and the heat range was all wrong. They detonated in the motor and the fine folks at Kragen purchased me a brand new ej20. =) It was a pain in the neck however.
