Unhappy Problems with cobb ap

Anyway, i tried flashing a stage one map 91 oct. I did everything correctly. I made sure of it. Then i got an error code P1572 and the car doesn't start. The ignition mode goes, but car doesn't start. i reflashed it back to stock. Tried again, didn't work. Makes me angry, what is going on with it?

Personally, I'd contact Cobb and let them guide you through it... Please keep us posted on what happens!

Engine Immobilizer? WTF? meaning the one thats linked to your KEY??? So what did you go about doing to resolve the problem?

Did the dealer end up resetting the ECU? Did you tell them about the AP or did they detect it?

Is the problem straightened out? You running the Stage 1 now?

Let me know! Hope everythings working out for you...

Exclamation yeah, best of luck and all, but...

yeah, what's the rest of this story? Sorry about the parent thing, perhaps that was the right thing to do, but thank goodness you remembered to reflash to stock (then it shouldn't really have been a problem. What year is the car? is it new? under warranty?). There are lists of codes to be found (wrx chatrooms, obd-II books at part stores) so that you can know before the dealer what's going on. At that point, a call to Cobb is MOST JUDICIOUS (makes a ton of sense).

Thing is, Cobb tends to be really cool about questions, even from people who don't own their systems or didn't buy systems from them directly. Any experience you have, most likely they have seen it.

there is a guy on www.scoobymods.com, n33orka, who's AP was not running well until he took it to a local tuner, now he has something like 75whp over stock. wow.

for some, there may not be a substitute for dyno time
BEST OF LUCK, do tell the story when you can...

Well, they are replacing basically the ecu and the imoblizer now. They said it should be ready on monday. But yeah, they didn't know what happened to the car. So, i guess i should be lucky. Yeah, its under warrenty, so i don't have to worry about paying an *** load. At the dealership, they said it was the first time it had ever happened.

I would give cobb a call if I were you. At least send your unit back and get a new one so you don't have the same problem. While I would say you shouldn't have lied to subaru and had them fix a problem you caused. Remeber, flashing the ecu is not covered by SOA warranty. But, I would have probably taken it to a dealership too. Glad you got your **** fixed though.

TheAllMightyCow,

Please contact us, Cobb Tuning, (801) 713-0035 on Monday and ask for Parker, Justin, Pooh, or myself. I want to make sure that we verify that you have purchased and received the correct AccessPORT before your reflash your new computer. This verification process should not take long.

Thanks,
Christian.

And remove the name of the dealership from your post, would make it easy for prying eyes/ears to make a correlation to your car and the dealership = You maybe paying an ***-load of $$.

Just some really..............paranoid advice!
