Please help me with my question about unichips
I dont know what to get as fare as engine managment goes. I have a 2002 wrx with a turbo xs BOV, cold air intake, and downpipe. I dont want to get the plug and play harness (scared of blowing my engine by doing something stupid), I was thinking of something like the turbo xs unichip but they dont make them anymore. What would be a good chip for me?
Are these easy to install? Could i do it myself (just a plug in type of thing, no splicing or cutting wires)? And could I have it installed for my specific mods?
One last question: do these controll boost, even without a boost controller?
Thanks alot.

You can get a used one, TurboXS will re-flash ONLY to their particular mods for their various stages. Vishnu charges (don't know how much) to re-flash Unichips, and will also only re-flash to specific configurations.
Neither of these will re-flash to aftermarket intakes, mostly because they believe the intakes don't net you any real horsepower, and they require massive changes in the fueling maps.
Most companies have switched over to better engine management solutions. New Unichips cost close to as much as an ECUtek reflash, which is MUCH better in terms of control and consistency, so it doesn't really make sense to sell new Unichips.
A cobb reflash is considerably less expesnive, but again, is probably only available for the stock intake.
