performance modules
i have recently been seeing "performance modules" for sale that claim to compete and even outperform power programmers and upgraded chips. i was wondering if anyone has had any experience with any of these "modules" and if so, what type of feedback you have on them.

ugh... one thing about internet sales, especially e-bay. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. The stock ECU is really good, I highly doubt that a $25 box with no technical description is going to make any power.

Don't buy into that unsubstantiated hype. These things, in various forms, have been showing up on e-Bay for a while. These devices are not true engine management so don't trust the life of your engine to one of these.
It isn't that no one around here doesn't like an inexpensive mod - it's just that these devices spring from the same 'creative' minds that gave us fire injector spark plugs and toilet paper oil filters and fuel line magnets.
