p0340 crankshaft position sensor
I recently got CEL and had the code pulled at Autozone. The code turned out to be p0340 (crankshaft position sensor circuit malfunction) I replaced the sensor and hoped that the CEL would clear, no such luck. I tried disconnecting the battery to reset the ECU to no avail. I also connected the green and black plugs under the steering column to reset the ecu. The CEL flashed indicating that there was no error after resetting the ECU, but when i started the car again the CEL came back on. PLEASE HELP! I have heard that this is a sticky CEL and may require having the ECU reflashed. MY car is no longer under warranty, so how much would this cost if I end up having to do this?
