got a 05 sti just installed a CB exhaust and intake and wanting to install the accessport but when i get to the step to select my map all of the slots say empty so i have no map to choose from.. happened to anybody???? of course cobb closed on weekend

 

did you download the maps from their website?

no, because u have to marry it to ur ecu before u can download anything..

 

In the instruction manual it shows how to download new maps before you marry it.

 

from what i read u cant get to a main menu until u marry it, plus it says in the manual quick start: comes preloaded with maps.. so i dont know.. thanks

 

It should come with a few basic maps preloaded. However it also should explain how to install new maps before you marry it. It will refer you to a page towards the back of the instruction booklet if I remember correctly.

 

From the '02-'05 AP manual:

"The AccessPORT has to be installed (married) before the Main Menu will be
displayed.

To bypass this requirement, you will need to hold the UP and DOWN
arrow buttons at the same time while powering the AccessPORT on."

Get it dyno tuned man it will make the best of your Accessport. Get a custom base map created for your mods, thats the way to do it. Then download all the realtime maps from the website:

economy
antitheft mode
valet mode
etc.

After I had Mike at Gruppe-s create a custom base map after i had purchsed the access port i got just under 30 horses gain to the wheels!!

Did you get it from a protuner?

If you hold down the two arrow buttons while powering on the accessport, it will go into waiting for pc mode after a few seconds, that way you can get some maps without having to send it back.
