I haven't had mine re-flashed but I would say it does, alittle. Boost goes up, so does heat. Regular oil changes and tune-ups is what really keeps engines going well. Might consider changing the timing belt and a little sooner than recommended. The WRX does well at cruisin around town and does well at occasionally spankin the competition. Driving around at 5500-6500 rpms all day long isn't good, unless you have a race team budget, then go ahead
