my injectors for my 2.2l n/a engine have been sitting in the engine for about 3 years since i parked the car, and about 3 months off of the engine in the fuel rails...

i can see some deposits on the ends of the injectors themselves, and i was wondering how to clean them? i was considering either a soak in high-octane fuel <safest> or soaking them in injector cleaner overnite <may damage gaskets>

any advice on how to safely clean my injectors before reinstalling them?

any reason i shouldnt just use carb/choke cleaner directly on the removed injectors?
