How to tune the TIMING with UTEC?

Hi, I know for the air/fuel ratio, you can tune that with a wideband o2. How would someone go about tuning the TIMING portion? Is it just trial and error?

Seriously man (and I mean no offense what-so-ever in saying this) but if you have to ask questions with a UTEC, please take it to a tuner. I'd hate to hear you messed something up with "trial and error" tuning tactics. The UTEC is an effective EM but only in the hands of a good tuner.
