how many catalic converters do you have?
this might sound newbe as hell but its cause im new to the subaru world so bare with me. i have a question about the catalic converters. after installing my exhaust and downpipe should i still hae atleast 1 catalic converter cause all 3 of mine are gone. also my car isnt running as fast as it should be for some reason could it be my intake cause i heard that intakes are not recommended on the imprezas. if you can please inform me on some info thanks.

Yea its the intake. Switch back to stock intake and reset your ecu (disconnect battery and pump the brakes a couple times, connect the battery the next morning). Try that. With your exhaust you should have no cats.

If your going to do ECU upgrade like that you could leave the intake but it still won't be necessary for just having a downpipe and exhaust. You could get the car tuned either way w/ or w/out the intake but with just a few mods the stock intake will work just fine.
BTW most people start using intakes when they have turbo and FMIC modifications. Look on Cobb Tuning's website they have some good tech articles on there that explain it.
