Help for a Newbie re: Vishnu ECU Stage 0

Due to circumstances I'd rather not get into right now I had the chance to pay $100 "on the spot" for a Vishnu Stage 0 WRX ECU, without any opportunity to discuss it.
Here is was what I was thinking... I'm planning to get my stock Suby ECU reflashed (Cobb) to more like Stage I or II once I finish various and sundry performance mods on my 03 WRX (HKS exhaust, up/downpipe, wheels/tires, swaybar, maybe some intercooler work). . BUT!! I need the car EVERY day as my daily driver, and I can't afford to have it be down even for 3 days while I get it reflashed. So I thought I'd stick the Vishnu Stage 0 in there during the downtime. Not cheap, not elegant, but maybe would work??
Am I right on here or did I just waste $100?
THANKS in advance, smart guys.

(Sorry...I *warned* u all that I was a newbie!).
You say two different things in your posts here. The CURRENT Vishnu stage 0 is a factory ECU "reflash," which will "probably" plug and play into your car. Your second post says it's a unichip (which is more likely given the cost), which has lately been obsoleted and IS a piggyback, requiring the stock ECU to function.
I say don't bother with the sale. Borrow a friend's car or rent a car for the days the ECU will be gone.
