Exclamation Help!!! Cobb Ap V1

ok, so I have the v1, I have the Cal 91 stage 1 basemap installed.

I wanted to throw the realtime economy map on (roadtrip coming up tonight)...

I download the newest map manager for the PC. my PC does not have a serial port, so I call Cobb, they recomend a USB to serial port converter (saying not to go cheap, get one that comes with drivers) so I spend $40 on a belkin converter, install everything... and I can not get the Comp to detect the AP!!!!

I only have two hours, and Cobb AND Belkin are closed for the day, ANYONE with ANY IDEAS of how to get my computer to recognize the AP V1

um just to verify, you also have the power adapter plugged in to the AP right?

You might need to configure the port first.
First thing you'll want to do is figure out which port the usb adapter is using. Plug in the USB adapter by itself and it should install some drivers and whatnot. After that, go into control panel->device manager then scroll down to ports and look for the COM port the USB adapter is on.
Then open up Accessport manager and go to Accessport->Configure communications and then select the port number that the USB adapter is on
then after that you can plug the serial cable into the accessport and the usb adapter
once the accessport powers on you would keep scrolling down until you see
"sync with pc" when you get the cursor next to "sync with pc" hit the big round button and it'll say "waiting for pc"
at that point go to accessport manager and select accessport->connect to accessport
that should be it.

as a matter of clarification, I pressed load map, selected econ, it stated it was completed,

then I select "show current map" and it still shows the ACN stage 1

Is this because ACN stage 1 is my base map, or did the econ real time map NOT upload?

Thank you for everyone's help, I got the AP to connect to my work comp, so I guess I need to rip into the home computer and figure out why its not working.

AP is fine though, will try to reflash later today
