gauge installation
im looking to install a water temperature gauge(one that has numbers and actually moves) and volt gauge on my gc8 but am not sure what to do. should i use mechanical or electric gauges and where do i put the wires. can i run the temp gauge off of the dash gauge wire. do i run the volt meter from and alternator wire. any help is appreciated as im not too good at the electrical stuff. i will have knowledgable help on this also.

well the water temp guage should have its own sending unit. I have always used electric gauges and try to stay away from the manual ones. The voltage should come with instructions and where the manafacture says it should be installed to be most accurate ( I would say to the battery to be most accurate ).
