Gas Mileage with Cobb AP

Just wondering what kind of gas mileage I can expect to get while running the STi with the Cobb AP? I imagine I AVG about 20-25 Miles to a gallon. I usually cruise at 2,500 Rpm's and upshift at 3,000-3,500.. don't get me wrong, I drive the car hard but I'm not the guy cruising around at 6,500 Rpm's.. unless I'm racing

I will be putting on my AP tomorrow and running it on a Stage 1 on 91 Octane until I put my Helix catless downpipe on this weekend then I will probably run at Stage 2 on 91 octane or on 93 if I want to have some fun and burn fuel haha...

Any suggestions on how I should set the Cobb up? Can I expect to burn a lot more fuel with the AP on the STi?

If I was you, I'd honestly forget about gas mileage. Even if you try as hard as you can to save every drip it is still negligable.

yea I have been running the Cobb Stg 2 for the last 3 days and I really don't notice a huge difference. I rarely cruise at over 3,000 unless I am passing or racing and even then its not for a long time. Ideally I like to keep my RPM's at about 2,500-2750

I drive about 3000 miles a month, 95% city driving. I'm running an STi 6-MT, light flywheel, downpipe, IC hoses, and a k&n filter; stage 1 91oct. I average about 19 if I accelerate hard, and use the AC. If I drive nice and don't use the AC it's about 24.

I average around 24 w/ my 02 WRX wagon, 4eat. I am running Cobb stg.2-93 base, and stg.2 HWG realtime. This covers 75-80 highway, and around town.
I get my best milage w/ Shell gas.

I'm running Cobb Stage 2 w/ U/P, D/P, and exhaust. I shift around 2500-3000 RPMs when i'm driving casually. Even when I occassionally drive hard I've found my gas mileage has been a bit better than before. It's probably that I also had my 30,000 mile maintenaince done and w/ the cooler weather, I'm not using the AC as much.

If saving the miles are that important to you, you always have the option of remapping to the economy mode. I have yet to try it out to see how many more miles you can get.

SolidSnake,

I have been running the Cobb Stage 2 on 91Oct and right now. I am using the trip meter to find out what I get to a gallon. Last week I filled it about 7/8 full and I pushed it pretty hard thurs night, but so far I have put on about 100 miles and I'm still above 1/2.. I think I can milk out about an Avg of 20MPG and thats running hard..

Don't think that your gonna get incredible mileage using the AP. I even heard the Cobb Economy mode may be worse on gas mileage that the stock or AP Stg 1 set up.

You will definitely enjoy the AP though.. it makes a world of difference
