A/F ratio ?

Didnt know where I should start this thread, so please if it is in the wrong place please move it.

In a video I saw a while back It was the Perrin 06 STI. and in the video I saw they had the stock clock converted to be a A/F ratio gauge. My question is how on earth did they do that? Also I would like to do that. IMO one less gauge more sleeper and thats what I'm going for. Any info at all would be nice.
