Engine Managment and Boost Controllers

Well, you'd actually be "flashing" the stock ECU, so it doesn't really have anything to with "ECUtek" per se. ECUtek is merely the software used to flash the "hardware" (the ECU in this case). I have heard that a stock ECU can only take 100 reflashes before it goes haywire, but ask yourself, do you honestly think you'll reflash it that many times over the life of the car? You'd have to be doing a lot of mods on a very consistent basis, and my guess is if you have the kinda dough to do that many mods, you'd have a complete stand alone engine management system and wouldn't have to worry about reflashing...
azscoobie (clark turner) has said he's got ecus with >100 reflashes on them working just fine, fwiw.
there IS a limit, but it's not much of an issue.
if you don't want to tune it yourself, DON'T GET A UTEC, HYDRA, XEDE, LINK, etc etc. get a reflash, preferably tuned on YOUR CAR, but even if not tuned on your car STILL get a reflash.
