The longevity of the engine is going to be more dependent on how it's used than what gets used for EFI management. If you're looking to build up a 500bhp drag racer, you shouldn't expect to get 2 seasons out of an engine.

what are you looking to do with the car?

utec has base mpas which will match up to what mods u have right now, later after u do major mods like ur turbo and fmi, u can always ask turboxs or just get some tuning down. tuning is just to get ur car to its potential with the mods u have.

It's certainly possible to tune the car yourself, and if you're leaning that direction at all the UTEC's a great way to get started.
