Don't tune during 100% humidity

Anyone heard of this?

I seriously am not second guessing my buddy Is2scooby. I've learned that anything he tells me is good info.

It's been pissing here on Oahu it seems like forever, but I've got the TUNA that TXS has for sale and I'm anxious to get the most out of it. It's not as if I've been sitting and waiting for it to clear up because I have faith in the AWD and I am pretty much just going in a straight line. I guess mainly I'm tinkering more than anything.

Anyhow, I've had some problems making DD work for me, but I'm finally able to use it so I'm trying to tune my long term and short term fuel trims. This in itself is pretty difficult as I'm pretty much having to stop whatever I'm doing to re-read Mick_the_Ginge's guide, Clark Turner's how-to post, and coming inside to look something up on Ecutek's website.

Anyhow, I've gotten my LT/ST both below -7, and mostly pretty close to 0 and I'm ready to strap on the TUNA and adjust the 10-100 columns. BUT IT WON'T QUIT RAINING.

I did make an attempt, but then my spoiler, smart-guy friend tells me that my toil was for naught.

My best guess as to why tuning in this weather is a waste of time is because you're never going to be able to drag race or something. It seems as if this stuff should be excellent octane boost, but you couldn't tell it by my knock count.

I remember those winter days there in Hawaii well.
Relax and wait a day or two and be happy.

Does this sound like the priveledged complaining to the less than fortunate? I've lived here for almost 3 years now, and I'm still surprised how much it rains here on the middle of the island. It's finally quit, by the way.

Nah, I was just making a statement about tuning in this sort've weather.

Just be glad you don't live near Paradise Park, where the average annual rainfall is over 200 inches per year.

Rain is over. Tune is where I think it needs to be, but it was still well over 80% humidity.

Since I'm resetting the ECU everytime I log w/ DD, it reverts to the 'retarded' timing map (at least according to the ECUTEK forum). KNOCK like crazy.

I'm gonna test a few ideas, but I'm running out of them.

Here's a log (Excel file) from my best pass of the night. My time and mph (13.6 @ 98) weren't THAT bad, I guess, considerin when I knocked (4th & 5th gears), I let off and up-shifted. Boost is pretty low. Timing is a lot lower than I normally have it.

Whatever happened to the positive, higher octane-like effects of high humidity?
