If I have a stand-alone ECU installed, do I still need any EBC and fuel computer? I suppose the ECU should already be able to do all that but are there extra functions about EBC and fuel computers that aftermarket ECUs can't do?

And, normally EBC and fuel computer combined are still less expensive than a ECU. What are the extra things that ECU can do?

Many stand alones offer boost control either built in, or via an external add-on. Now I feel that you get more options with a EBC, but you get more absolute control with the built-in modules that the standalone works with.
