Do I have to wait for the AccessPORT?

Do I have to wait for the AccessPORT?

I have a 2004 2.5RS that I want to add a bunch of COBB products on, but the AccessPORT for it isn't out yet. Is there another product that I can use instead of the AccessPORT to prevent my engine light from coming on and to accomodate aftermarket products?

If there is another company that has comparable products for my car I am willing to consider suggestions, but I hear that COBB is the best.

find out what your CEL is on for and let's go from there.

The Accessport will not clear your CEL entirely, unless you want to clear it everytime you turn the car on.

not on yet

Basically, I want to get the cobb headers (included in the stage 2 power pack). I haven't gotten anything for my car yet, but when I do, I don't want annoying CEL's coming on all of the time. I was thinking about starting with the intake and cat-back, and when the AccessPORT comes out, I'll do everything else (headers and what not). What do you think? Also, I don't quite understand what you mentioned earlier about the CEL resetting every time I start the car. I have done a little looking up about the AccessPORT, and the street tuner software for it and see that you can uncheck the codes that the CEL would call out if there is a problem. Is this what would happen if these are unchecked?

Thanks for the help.

i think what rocket man is trying to say is....the access port maps only turn off/deletes certain CELs.... ie: stage 2 would delete all turbo back exhaust CELs...but, if your CEL is from your intake than you would have to delete that CEL everytime you start your vehicle, b/c the MAP doesnt cover that...thats why he was asking what CEL are you refering to?
