Cruise Control Issues

I have a 98 4EAT RS. My car didn't come with crusie control, so last year I ordered an OEM CC kit from Subaru parts.com. Had my dealer install it. Worked perfectly up until about the first week of Oct. Then it started to cut out intermittingly. No real pattern to it, sometimes worked great for hours, sometimes a few minutes. When it cut out, it wouldn't reengage until the car was turned off and on. So I brought the car to my dealer(Premier Subaru, Branford CT). Their service dept is awesome. Mod friendly, no hassle's. They took the car and started to do extensive test runs. They couldn't replicate the problem. Took the car and drove it for week, had the same problem. Brought the car back to Service, and left with them once more. Luckily, I have access to alternate vehicles, cause they asked to keep the car for at least a week. Couple days later they call me with a couple of different scenario's. One, is that the battery was only putting out eight volts(supposed to be 12V). Had them replace the battery. Still had them Problem. Scenario 2. SOA techline tells the to replace the fuel actuator that is controlled by the CC unit. Had them do this(covered under ext. Warranty). Still have the problem. Now SOA techline has nothing to say. Now, I place no blame on Premier for this. They installed the unit, and did their best to help. But I am baffled by this.

No speculation or conjecture please. Need Help

I had this same problem in my civic and it ended up being the switch on the clutch. I don't kow about your, but theres a good possibility that its your clutch or brake switch.
