cold air intake question

cold air intake question

i just installed a cold air intake that i bought from subaru spt, my question is...... is my warranty still good if anything ever happens to the car? oh i installed the intake myself too .

The whole point of buying the SPT intake(besides performance) is that you won't have to sacrifice your warranty for a power upgrade. You should be fine dude!

Is it open to engine bay temps or did you install an enclosure around it? If you didn't install an enclosure don't be surprised if the car feels sluggish after you've been sitting in traffic or idling it for awhile.

by enclosure you mean the Heat shield that Subaru makes for it ? if so ive have seen some places you can get the intake and heat shield together . but no i have it open.

I didn't think the SPT intake was a cold air intake. Is it mounted in the engine bay or in the fender? If it's not a cold air you would be better off with an enclosure like this http://www.kamispeed.com/product_inf...046242c793e1e3
Installing an enclosure will lower intake temps.
