Yeah, my friend went with the stage 2 with just uppipe and downpipe. Cobb is also really good about answering any questions you might have, better than i-club and nasioc.

On the topic.... What kind of numbers can be expected with just the stage2 and a downpipe. Anyone have an idea? Does the full turbo back make a huge difference?

I actually asked cobb this back when I only had an HKS downpipe and they told me it's fine but boost and power will be a little on the lower side.

But definately, if you have a downpipe, go for stage 2

I got ya... I read a ton of stuff on cobb's site, and wrxforums.. but I didn't see anything relating to performance with just having a downpipe. I know they recommend the stage 2 map if you have a downpipe, but I was mostly curious about what kind of loss is associated with not having the full turboback. For instance, with a full turboback and stage2, you should be around 285hp/285ft-lbs on 93 octane. But if I only had a downpipe and stage2... I would expect some loss from those numbers, but I am wondering how much. Would I get roughly 275hp/275ft-lbs? Less? More?

Thanks for the info.
Rock!

Thanks oxtox. My car is completely stock right now, and the accessPORT is the first thing I am getting. I'll probably post a question on WRX forums to see what they have to say. I don't want to call and bother them while they could otherwise be boxing and shipping acessPORTS. I was looking at Cobb's downpipe with the highflow cat. I want to be as legal as possible... I am in the Philly area also, and don't want to get boned come emissions time.
