cobb ap 04-05???

this is probably a question that's been asked 100 million times, so please don't hate me.....i have an 05 sti....all stage 2 EXCEPT no accessport(or ecu program etc etc)but i'm gettin an ap either way.....i've found one for a relatively good price....the owner used it on his 04 sti....so my question is; would this work for my 05?...

If it's a V1 AP I doubt it will work since Cobb makes different maps for the 2 different years. I think the 02-03 are the only cars that share the same ecu. FYI I don't know the answer to this question but I'd think you'll have a better chance @ Cobb's forum. Here's what makes me think it won't work http://www.cobbtuning.com/info/?ID=3061 .

Just confirmed it. The answer is no http://www.cobbforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31435

It's amazing what you can find when you take a minute to do a search.

The guy that answered the question in the 2nd link I posted is a Cobb employee so I'm sure he knows a thing or 2 about the AP. Cobb probably gets a lot of e-mails so It might take awhile. I always call.

FYI, I've seem multiple people buying used AP's that haven't been unmarried so be careful and cross your fingers.

Good luck finding one.
