Disconnect the battery for a while. a few hours to be safe. This will reset the ECU.

disconect the batery and stand on the break for about a 60 seconds. this will reset your computer. just disconecting the battery will not work. at least this is what the maita subaru tex told me. if this does not work take mike up on going there. Mike you are the man.

they tell you to step on the brakes because the lights will turn on and use whatever energy is still in the lines. Turning on the cabin lights, etc will do the same thing.

just a note for others, DO NOT reset a code without knowing what it is.

i have read in other posts that resetting your computer via disconnecting the battery can be done a limited amount of times before having an adverse affect on the system. is this true?

i have a CEL for the cat o2 sensor and am tired of looking at it!

haven't heard that.

for a aftermarket exhaust(Downpipe back) you should really be running some form of EM. CobbAP or Enguinity will take care of the codes, or if you are running a UTEC pickup 2 sparkplug antifoulers & search for the fouler mod.

agreed...and a CobbAP is next on my list. i am not into heavily modifying my car, but after reading through i-club and nasioc, i can tell that EM is the best thing for our cars...

thanks!
