Car won't boost now, any ideas?

Hey so ever since I got my swap done last year I never had the stock T to the boost solenoid and the restrictor pill was never in there. I just was using a T from osh and some thin piece of hose from my old NA solenoid. I didn't know till recently that you need the pill in there.

Today I installed the oem T connector and the restritor pill and reset the ecu. Went for a drive and now when I get up at about 4k rpms and above the car won't hold boost anymore. Its like the car keeps studdering as I'm trying to speed up. Only other thing possibly related to this is I have my wastegate arm tightened 2 full turns to reduce flutter from putting the Perrin downpipe on. Never had an issue before running w/ out the pill and now I'm having this problem. What should I do?

edit: btw the pill is installed on the compressor side of the T, this is where Mioke told me it should be.

The T is the same on both sides and everything is tight.

yes, there is a pill with a pinhole through it.

Try loosening the waste gate actuator. Are you still running with stock EM?

Yea still on stock em. I'm gonna try using my friends solenoid cause maybe mine went bad, I'll also try loosening the waste gate actuator.

Trying to get tuned soon but I need to fix this problem first.

I have my stock boost solenoid stuff as well since I upgraded to a 3 port solenoid and no T splitter.

I would guess that this is probably a boost leak. pull the hoses, put your finger over one end, and blow in to the other and see if air escapes easily. if it does, you've found the problem.

Just tried putting the waste gate actuator arm back 2 turns still same results as before.

I checked the hoses I'm pretty sure they're not leaking. I'll replace them with more of the same hose and see what happens.

Hopefully my buddy will be here soon so I can try his solenoid.

Replaced hoses with fresh ones... still not holding boost.

Swapped in my buddies stock 03 solenoid... still not holding boost.

At this point I have no ****in clue, I'm calling it quits for tonight. Looks like I gotta take my moms teg to work tomorrow.

I'm just trying to run the stock T and restrictor pill to get stock boost, this just puzzles me why its not working.

How much boost were you hitting before you installed the restrictor pill? I would try reverting to your previous setup to narrow down the problem.

flashing CEL means turn off car immediately. Hopefully you're not doing any serious damage to your car. I agree and go back to your previous setup that worked and see if it returns your car back to normal.

I'm not sure how much boost I was hitting before cause I don't have a boost gauge.

I will try putting in my old setup to see if the car will still let me boost and go wot. I'll post back after I try.

You REALLY shouldn't be messing with any boost control related parts if you don't have a boost gauge!
