Can I run an AVC-R with ECUTEK?
I like the raw power delivery that I got with my old AVC-R, but since I got ECUTEK, it doesn't have that in-ur-face boost of power anymore. I was wondering if I can run both? A lot of people run EBC's with standalone ECU's. Just wondering if it is safe. Thanks!

it's not really the best idea. the ecutek reflash is very involved and meant to work with the factory boost control. if you take the factory boost control out of the equation, you'll run into a lot of the problems that are caused by running an EBC or MBC like partial throttle / full boost. who tuned the car for you? was it an off the shelf map?

Do not use the AVC-R with EcuTeK, at all. The reason why is because while the EcuTeK has control of the boost, when adding in a boost controller, the stock ECU delivers certain values to control the engine to run well, not lean, not rich. When you add in a boost controller under partial throttle cruising down the highway the car will more than likely run to lean and you could have detonation and not even realize it. Then one day your car won't be running well anymore.
