S-Squared Ecutek and Gruppe-S Ecutek ?'s

First of all, big respect to both of these shops that do excellent work on our Subaru's. I just had one simple quick question on the EcuTek reflash both of them sell. Are both of them the same?,, the reason I ask is because one company sells it slightly cheaper than the other.

Thanks
Newbie

I dont recall hearing anything bad about S-squared...I talked to some of the guys there a while ago, and they were friendly and knew what they were talking about.

I think if you went to them or Mike...your car would be in good hands. I guess it would depend on who you lived closer too.

Mike is a super good guy and a very talented tuner.

So is Ed of EQ Tuning. Don't forget EQ if you're looking for a tune in the bay area. Definitely worth your time to shoot him an e-mail with some questions . I couldn't be more pleased with the tunes my friends and I have received from him!

I have had quite a bit of work done on my car by S-squared, ranging from full turbo/tune/exhaust down to my oil changes. In fact, I'm getting the first oil change on my new wagon done by s-squared on Thursday.

I didn't know Nate before I purchased my first Subaru and I still remember my first call to him - being a total noob, he sat on the phone with me and answered every dumb question of mine for well over an hour and when we were done he didn't expect me to spend a cent with him. Nate provides top quality service along with absolutely top quality work (the gauge install he did was a work of art) and he always takes the extra time to make sure I'm comfortable because he knows I stress about every little detail.

You really can't go wrong with s-squared.

Nate at S-Squared has tuned both my old wrx and my new STI with amazing results. He and Joe are topnotch honest folk. Great quality on the install and excellent customer service.

I have not dealt with Gruppe-S, but I have only heard great things about Mike as well.

Both shops are good.
We are lucky to have so many places in the bay.
