Has anyone used that Vishnu ECU reset "trick" for AP? He says it helps to get over the learning curve.

i don't really buy into it personally. I was also told by a cobb dealer that thinkks it's kinda silly. the deal is that the ecu will become accustomed to your driving, car, etc. You can accelerate the process, but eventually the car is going to have to get reacquainted with how you really drive. No need to hurry it up... just let the ecu work itself out.

hmmm.... Maybe it's your shoe. I've always gotten the same bad gas mileage (19-20). But, on the other hand, I've found that I tend to drive faster since I got the AP. It's not that I am racing all of the time.... I just found that I have been coasting at 90 mph instead of 80 (as i did pre-AP). Obviously, 90 is less fuel efficient... so, in sum... at best, the AP has been more fuel efficient... at worst, it's been the same

never pinged

What gas are you guys using when you're pinging? I have a 02 WRX at Cobb stage 2 and have never pinged. I'm using the standard 91 oct stage 2 map. I also use Chevron, Shell, or 76 gas. Just wondering.

i'd like to know too! I've never pinged before either. In fact, I've never been in a car that's pinged.... I wouldn't even know what to hear for... although... i imagine it sounds like: "ping" ...

I just guessed that mine was knocking because of the blatant knock retard I was getting. In the middle of a gear pulling strong, then *wham* a kick in the ***** and no more go fast. Since I switched to the cali stage 2 it's been one happy camper, although the wastegate noise is driving me insane, I wonder if it's so noisy due to a divorced wastegate DP(I need to either to the tightening trick or wrap that pig). Also the stg2 base map will give you 250 more rpms(a 7250rpm limit now). Overall I've been really happy with running Stg 2 with the cali map despite the horrid wastegate noise.

percula asked "oh hey, does anyone know if the access port can remove CEL's from uppipes, downpipes, etc?" Yes.. The AP base map disables many CELs.

For stg 2 here's the list
