Boost Problem - need help!

hi.. i have a WRX S.T.I. version 96 model sti3.. having problems with my boost since my car caught on fire underneath the turbo (specificially the power steering hose was not secure and was rubbing up against the exhaust manifold which started to leak and catch on fire). Since then, everytime i accelerate my car tends to overboost even if i turn down my HKS EVC Pro boost controller. My car never had any problems with the boost even up to 1.2bar before... I recently changed the air filters of the vacuum hoses for the boost controller coz' those were dirty and slightly burnt from the fire... Now, my car tends to overboost with my boost controller even on off or fully turned down.. Has anyone encountered this type of problem before? I am now considering changing to all new vacuum hoses (for the boost controller) or possibly changing my injectors to bigger ones if this problem does not go away... What do you guys think? Pls help..

engine specs:

EJ20KDW6PR
GC8D4ED
full cat back exhaust
hks air filter
everything else stock
