I'd recomend the AP too. It allows anyone without a tuner in their area to get safe and IMO quite decent gains. Granted a tune will get more, but with the Utec you almost for sure need to get it tuned, correct? So far my AP running stage 2 93 oct is great. Not quite the numbers I hoped for, but a tune will resolve this.

::Installs flame suit:: Just because no one has defended the UTEC and I was very happy with them.

Utec if you want to make the #'s and 1/4 mile times, I've owned 2 personally. 1 in my evo, 1 in my wrx. This was before i was a vendor, and they were over $1000, now they can be had for hundreds less. Lets you use your factory computer as well. AP is sort of in the middle of where Utec can go. The Utec has base maps for whichever stage you are at. It certainly won't be as fast without a proper wideband air/fuel ratio'd tune whether on the street or a dyno. But if your looking to get the most out of your car, a custom tune is always the way to go. I gained 50whp Literally from adding 2psi and tuning. My wrx made 306whp and is running 20psi on a top mount with an 1820, its been tuned for over 2 years, and its perfect. My evo has been tuned for over a year, One of the first utecs available (serial # 12 or something) driven hard, and its perfect. Like I said, Utec has proven #'s. AP has? reliability? same reliability is achieved on the UTEC. So the only difference I really see is the price difference, and lack of power.
